Dutch voting machines hacked to
play chess
With as much fuss as we raise over the myriad
of Diebold security and stability failures,
it looks like we've got it pretty good in the
States when compared to the e-voting methods
of the Dutch. Their ES3B voting system is based
on circa-1980's computing hardware, which seems
to be rather lacking in the areas of physical
and software security.

Chess Mess BY GARRY KASPAROV
It usually takes a scandal to get the world's
pre-eminent mind sport into the news these days.
The latest example comes from the current world
chess championship in Elista, Russia. The match
between Russia's Vladimir Kramnik and Veselin
Topalov of Bulgaria was intended to unify the
chess championship that has been divided

How Kramnik Killed Chess!
Vladimir Kramnik, the so-called Classical
Chess World Champion is now complaining about
how he was cheated out of a point against the
Fide World Champion Veslin Topalov. There is
no doubt that Topalo's camp used the toilet
issue to force Kramnik to forfeit game five
as they knew Kramnik would not tolerate losing
his own personal toilet.

World Chess Championship Resumed:

The "champion" vs. "champion" chess match

Amazing Inventions from Prison Inmate
A few years back a collective of artists
collaborated with an inmate to document what
sort on ingenuity goes on behind bars in order
to adapt to their surroundings. What they ended
up with was an amazing 100+ page document with
detailed drawings of inventions ranging from
an electric tattoo gun to a chess set made from
toilet paper.

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov:"You are playing
for the entire chess world"
The process of the negotiations started
last night at midnight, immediately after I
arrived in Elista. The first meeting was held
with Vladimir Kramnik (our conversation lasted
for about an hour), and today I spoke with Silvio
Danailov. The first point, which we agreed on,
is the postponement of today's game

Teach Yourself Programming in Ten
Years
"Researchers...have shown it takes about
ten years to develop expertise in any of a wide
variety of areas, including chess playing, music
composition...and research in neuropsychology
and topology. There appear to be no real shortcuts:
even Mozart, who was a musical prodigy at age
4, took 13 more years before he began to produce
world-class music."

Psychological Warfare in Elista
After a dramatic start of the World Championship
the play on the board has given way to heavy
psychological warfare. Our past three reports
bear testimony to that. In Elista our correspondent
Misha Savinov saw it all developing, including
the monitoring of the player's rest rooms and
the restrictions of toilet use. Pictures and
impressions.

World Toilet Championship
Silvio Danailov's protest was filed on a
free day, it demanded changes in the event setup
that according to the world championship contract
requires the prior agreement of both players
these are the legal aspects of the decision
taken by the Appeals Committee in Elista today.

Toilet breaks trigger chess row
The world chess champion has taken a controversial
turn. Will Kramnik be allowed his bathroom breaks?
Will his forfeited match stand? Wow...The chess
championship is scandalous.

World Chess Championship: Kramnik
3 - Topalov+Toilet 2
The World Chess championship match up between
the World champion Topalov, and the classical
imposter Kramnik continued today, and Topalovâ€s
brilliant combination left Kramnik hiding in
his room for the whole day. We all know how
talented Topalov is when it comes to direct
attacks.

World Chess Championship in turmoil!
It started with accusations of too many
bathroom breaks (and possible outside help?),
now the most anticipated chess tournament in
13 years, and any hope of reunifying the title,
may be falling apart.

World Chess Championship: Kramnik
is Cheating?
Veslin Topalov, the World Champion of the
World, accused the imposter champion Vladimir
Kramnik of cheating during the World Chess Championship
Match. Kramnik is leading the match 3-1 with
8 games remaining, but Topalov is the one who
probably should be leading in this match.

Kramnik Is cheating
Breaking news: Veselin Topalov, through
his manager Silvio Danialov, has cast suspicion
on the behaviour of Vladimir Kramnik, who is
leading 3-1 in their world championship match.

visiting the bathroom, which has no video surveillance

Elista. The world Champion in Chess Veselin
Topalov could leave the game for the title with

records showed that Kramnik went to a particular
bathroom more than 50 times during play. This
was the only bathroom with no surveillance cameras
installed.
